Realism within an Art Form is a celebration of the wonders within our physical world or the magic and mystery of our metaphysical selves. A challenge for me is merging elements of Realism and Organic Abstract forms together in such a manner that may allow each creation to take on a life of its own. This may be considered "fantastique" as it fits well within the genre. (Kim Perrier)

The Millennium Eco System Report states that 15-20% of the World's Coral Reefs have been lost. One of my passions is to inspire people to appreciate and realise that "Its the small creatures making up our wonderful bio-diversity that sustains us all". My portrayal of wildlife may help to give voice to those who can't speak for themselves.

Kim Perrier is a remarkable Sculptor, his blend of realism and "bizarre organic abstractionism" invokes a fantastic and magic world in crystal! The colouring, light, movement and presence seems somehow animated and timeless. Though Kim is only recent to the glass world, 3 years to date, he has accomplished much, I believe it is some what reminiscent of Lalique yet occupies its own place in the glass arts world. The high standard of Mr. Perrier's work is taking cast glass crystal to another level and a new standard to which contemporary cast sculptural glass will rise.
